Dr. Rosalyn George has expert experience and knowledge in all of the major areas of dermatology and is committed to providing her patients with superior care for all of their skin care needs. Dr. George is a Board Certified Dermatologist by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. George completed her internship in Internal Medicine and her Dermatology Residency at Penn State University (Hershey Medical Center), where she served as chief resident. She received her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, where she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Virginia Tech with a major in Biochemistry.

Prior to starting her private practice “Wilmington Dermatology Center” in 2008, she completed a laser focused preceptorship with one of the nation’s leading laser treatment pioneers, Dr. Tina Alster, at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery. Dr. George continues to attend and present at many state and national conferences, where the most current advances in dermatology are discussed. Over the years Dr. George has been asked to participate as a luminary for various cosmetic device companies including Solta Medical, the maker of such devices as the Fraxel Dual and Liposonix.  She has also been nominated and has served on various advisory boards for cosmetic treatments for Valeant, Galderma, Cellfina/Merz, Women in Dermatology, and serves as a national speaker for the skincare line Sente.  In addition to being selected as a national Allergan trainer for products like Botox and Juvederm, she was also selected from an elite group of physicians nationwide to participate on the Facial Aesthetics Board by Allergan for the Voluma launch and is part of the Kybella national panel.  Dr. George has also been selected and trained as a Media Expert team member for the American Academy of Dermatology. To keep abreast of the latest treatments in dermatology Dr. George also actively participates as a chief investigator for dermatology and cosmetic focused clinical research studies and has contributed to several scientific publications.

Dr. George in conjunction with WDC also enjoys participating in philanthropic events and is a contributor to numerous charities in Wilmington.  In recent years she has been the primary sponsor major events in Wilmington which benefit Make-a-Wish of Eastern North Carolina.

Karin Hipp, PA-C is a certified physician assistant who has been practicing dermatology since 2001, and joined Wilmington Dermatology Center in late 2011. After receiving her master’s degree from DeSales University, Karin was formally trained in dermatology at Johns Hopkins University. She has worked in a private practice setting, as well as academic, to gain valuable skills in all aspects of dermatology. Her most recent experience of specialized training at Duke University Medical Center has helped broaden her knowledge in the field of melanoma and pigmented lesions. Karin enjoys both cosmetic and medical dermatology, with a special interest in skin cancer and facial rejuvenation.

Kelly Britt, PA-C was born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She attended the Physician Assistant Program at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, and received her Masters in Medical Science in 2005. Kelly subsequently moved to Wilmington, NC to begin practice as a Dermatology Physician Assistant and has enjoyed serving this community for the past 10 years. She is devoted to providing comprehensive skincare for her patients, including General, Cosmetic, and Surgical Dermatology. She welcomes patients in both the pediatric and adult populations. Kelly is married and has one daughter. As a family, they enjoy spending time on the water and traveling.

Beth Ann has been a certified physician assistant dedicated to dermatology since 2003. She began her practice in the general dermatology department of the university of Pittsburgh medical center as a faculty Physicians Assistant.  Beth Ann and her husband relocated to Wilmington in 2007. Since then, she has enjoyed providing adult and pediatric dermatology services in the coastal NC area. She is a graduate of Allegheny College and Alderson- Broaddus College and is a fellow member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

She has been practicing dermatology since 2002 and returned to Wilmington in 2010 where she has been committed to serving the community in General, Surgical, and Cosmetic Dermatology. Andrea is a member of the North Carolina Dermatology Association and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She is a native of North Carolina and has one son. Shelley Piatkowski graduated from UNCW in 2005 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing where she started as an operating room nurse with her primary experience in cosmetic surgery. She has been a cosmetic nurse for invasive and noninvasive procedures for eight years. She has extensive experience with laser and ultrasound technology from hair laser removal to Liposonix and Ultherapy. Shelley grew up in Rocky Mount, North Carolina and currently resides in Wilmington with her husband, daughter, and son. She loves being active in the outdoors from running to stand-up paddle boarding.
