Dr. Rosalyn George

Dr. Rosalyn George has expert experience and knowledge in all of the major areas of dermatology and is committed to providing her patients with superior care for all of their skin care needs. Dr. George is a Board Certified Dermatologist by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. George completed her internship in Internal Medicine and her Dermatology Residency at Penn State University (Hershey Medical Center), where she served as chief resident. She received her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, where she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Virginia Tech with a major in Biochemistry.
Prior to starting her private practice “Wilmington Dermatology Center” in 2008, she completed a laser focused preceptorship with one of the nation’s leading laser treatment pioneers, Dr. Tina Alster, at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery. Dr. George continues to attend and present at many state and national conferences, where the most current advances in dermatology are discussed. Over the years Dr. George has been asked to participate as a luminary for various cosmetic device companies including Solta Medical, the maker of such devices as the Fraxel Dual and Liposonix.  She has also been nominated and has served on various advisory boards for cosmetic treatments for Valeant, Galderma, Cellfina/Merz, Women in Dermatology, and serves as a national speaker for the skincare line Sente.  In addition to being selected as a national Allergan trainer for products like Botox and Juvederm, she was also selected from an elite group of physicians nationwide to participate on the Facial Aesthetics Board by Allergan for the Voluma launch and is part of the Kybella national panel.  Dr. George has also been selected and trained as a Media Expert team member for the American Academy of Dermatology. To keep abreast of the latest treatments in dermatology Dr. George also actively participates as a chief investigator for dermatology and cosmetic focused clinical research studies and has contributed to several scientific publications.

Dr. George in conjunction with WDC also enjoys participating in philanthropic events and is a contributor to numerous charities in Wilmington.  In recent years she has been the primary sponsor major events in Wilmington which benefit Make-a-Wish of Eastern North Carolina.

Karin Hipp, PA-C

Karin Hipp, PA-C is a certified physician assistant who has been practicing dermatology since 2001, and joined Wilmington Dermatology Center in late 2011. After receiving her master’s degree from DeSales University, Karin was formally trained in dermatology at Johns Hopkins University. She has worked in a private practice setting, as well as academic, to gain valuable skills in all aspects of dermatology. Her most recent experience of specialized training at Duke University Medical Center has helped broaden her knowledge in the field of melanoma and pigmented lesions. Karin enjoys both cosmetic and medical dermatology, with a special interest in skin cancer and facial rejuvenation.

Kelly Britt, PA-C

Kelly Britt, PA-C was born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She attended the Physician Assistant Program at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, and received her Masters in Medical Science in 2005. Kelly subsequently moved to Wilmington, NC to begin practice as a Dermatology Physician Assistant and has enjoyed serving this community for the past 10 years. She is devoted to providing comprehensive skincare for her patients, including General, Cosmetic, and Surgical Dermatology. She welcomes patients in both the pediatric and adult populations. Kelly is married and has one daughter. As a family, they enjoy spending time on the water and traveling.

Andrea Villareal, PA-C received her Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 1998 and graduated from the East Carolina University Physician Assistant Program in 2001. She has been practicing dermatology since 2002 and returned to Wilmington in 2010 where she has been committed to serving the community in General, Surgical, and Cosmetic Dermatology. Andrea is a member of the North Carolina Dermatology Association and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She is a native of North Carolina and has one son. In her free time she enjoys traveling, tennis, and spending time with her family. She is dedicated to providing superior skincare for her patients and welcomes patients of all ages.

Savana Lamar, PA-C

Savana Lamar, PA-C received her Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 1998 and graduated from the Wake Forest University Physician Assistant Program in 2002 where she was #2 in her class. She has been practicing dermatology since 2009 and has interests in General, Surgical, and Cosmetic Dermatology. Savana is a member of the North Carolina Dermatology Association and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

shelley piatkowski, rn, cosmetic procedure specialist

Shelley Piatkowski graduated from UNCW in 2005 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing where she started as an operating room nurse with her primary experience in cosmetic surgery. She has been a cosmetic nurse for invasive and noninvasive procedures for eight years. She has extensive experience with laser and ultrasound technology from hair laser removal to Liposonix and Ultherapy. Shelley grew up in Rocky Mount, North Carolina and currently resides in Wilmington with her husband, daughter, and son. She loves being active in the outdoors from running to stand-up paddle boarding.

Cosmetic Procedure Specialist Jaclyn Tooker

Jaclyn Tooker graduated from East Carolina University in 2008.  She has years of experience in various roles in dermatology and cosmetic environments. She has extensive training with laser technology and safety, as well as, cosmetic procedure certification with Coolsculpting and Infini.  Jaclyn grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina where she currently resides with her husband and three boys.  Her favorite activities are spending time with her family and being active in the outdoors and on the water.

donna maccalupo goyda, medical aesthetician

Donna Maccalupo Goyda’s last day at Wilmington Dermatology Center will be December 14th 2018.  WDC wishes Donna the best in her transfer to the Northern Virginia area with her family.  Donna has worked with Wilmington Dermatology Center to identify her replacement named Amelie Long who will begin on December 17th 2018.  Amelie along with Julie and Nicole are more than happy to assist you in any services you may have received from Donna in the past.

Amelie Long has over fifteen years of aesthetic experience and completed her aesthetics training at School of Aesthetics in Hawaii with a background in both medical grade and holistic skincare. Amelie has received and continues to participate in extensive training with major pharmaceutical grade chemical peels, Clear + Brilliant Laser, Dermal Infusion-Silk Peel and advanced Xtreme lash applications. She specializes in skin pigmentation concerns, acne treatments, dermablading, lash extensions, and waxing. Amelie also has a passion and expertise in the area of creating individualized custom facials to gain optimal results for her clients. As a specialized aesthetician at WDC working in conjunction with the rest of our experienced team, you can be sure to receive expert advice and treatments from Amelie that are customized to your unique skin care needs.

julie taddei, medical aesthetician

Julie Taddei has over seven years of aesthetics experience and received her undergraduate degree from Appalachian state. She completed her esthetics training locally at CFCC and specializes in addressing skin conditions like acne, aging, and sun damaged skin. Julie has conducted numerous training programs from cosmetic device manufacturers such the Clear+Brilliant from Solta, and additional training on ultrasonic, LED, oxygen, and microdermabrasion devices. Julie has also participated in advanced chemical peel training and pharmaceutical grade product training from SkinMedica and SkinCeuticals. As one of WDC’s aestheticians, Julie also performs facials, waxing, dermabladding, and brow and lash tinting.

nicole stowe, medical aesthetician

Nicole has over 16 years of aesthetic experience in dermatology and plastic surgery. She received her NC aesthetic license in 1998 and has participated in many advanced training courses over the duration of her aesthetic career. She has extensive training in pharmaceutical grade chemical peels, laser treatments, microneedling and microdermabrasion devices. Nicole specializes in acne treatment, skin rejuvenation as well as skin pigmentation concerns and is dedicated to customizing skin care treatment plans for each individual. She also offers custom facials, dermablading, waxing, lash and brow tinting.
