What Is DAXXIFY™️ (DaxibotulinumtoxinA)?

DAXXIFY™️, or DaxibotulinumtoxinA, is a purified form of botulinum toxin, the neuromodulator used in BOTOX® (onabotulinumtoxinA). Like BOTOX®, DAXXIFY™️ blocks signals that cause muscles to contract and create wrinkles, which smooths moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and other forehead lines.

How Does DAXXIFY™️ (DaxibotulinumtoxinA) Work?

All Wilmington Dermatology Center treatments begin with a complimentary consultation, where we’ll evaluate your potential treatment areas based on your facial expressions, existing forehead lines, and personal cosmetic goals.

The area is cleaned and prepped with numbing cream if requested, and a small needle is then used at the injection sites. A visit typically lasts only 10 minutes, and our patients easily tolerate the minor pinch sensation at the injection sites.

Prior to Treatment

The day of your appointment, we’ll cleanse the area thoroughly. If a numbing cream is requested, we’ll apply it thoroughly, wait for it to set, and cleanse the skin once more for treatment.

During Treatment

A small needle is used at the injection sites to apply the DAXXIFY™️ treatment as planned. You may experience a minor pinch and pressure during injection, but nothing more. Visits can last as little as 10 minutes.

After Treatment & Results

There’s no real downtime to speak of with DAXXIFY™️ treatment; you may see slight redness at the injection site just after treatment, but this should quickly disappear. You’ll start to notice wrinkles diminish in five to seven days, with full correction in two weeks. The results of DAXXIFY™️ frown line treatment can last anywhere from 6 to 9 months, and typically last longer than similar injectables.

What happens if I need more correction, or the injection didn’t quite work in an area?

Wilmington Dermatology Center is focused on your results and will gladly offer a touch-up and no charge within two weeks of treatment if you ever need an adjustment. If you choose to use less units than recommended for your goals, there will be an additional charge. Injecting can be an art, and every patient is different: we are happy to make minor adjustments to meet your needs.

How Much Does DAXXIFY™️️ Treatment Cost?

DAXXIFY™️️ frown line treatment, like similar injectable treatments, is priced based on the number of units used, which varies by treatment area, wrinkle severity, and other factors unique to the individual. We’ll discuss your treatment plan and generate a quote during your free consultation.

While some practices price based on treatment area, we price based on how much DAXXIFY™️️ is used to ensure you get the best value.
