Prior to Treatment
Before we begin, we take baseline procedure images prior to treatment and apply a topical anesthetic. While we confirm you are in good shape for treatment, we let the anesthetic set for 20 to 30 minutes.
During Treatment
Once treatment begins, your provider will carefully insert the resorbable suspension sutures to reposition and elevate the skin and tissue of your face for a noticeable and natural-looking lift. This in-office, non-surgical procedure is typically completed in about 45 minutes.
After Treatment & Results
You may experience mild inflammation, swelling, pain, and bruising following the procedure that will fade within two weeks. Results will be both immediate and gradual: the lifting will be obvious right away, while collagen stimulation and increased volume will improve over several weeks. Sutures will be naturally resorbed, and results can last 18 months to two years.
What is the History of Silhouette InstaLift®?
Silhouette InstaLift®, developed by Sinclair Pharmaceuticals, was FDA approved for mid-face suspension in 2015. The sutures were made with poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid), or PLGA, a trusted biomedical co-polymer that’s known for being well-tolerated and resorbable (can be broken down and assimilated).

When will I see Silhouette InstaLift® results?
The mid-face lift will be immediately visible, while increased volume and younger-looking skin will develop gradually over about six weeks as lost collagen is rebuilt in the skin.
How long do Silhouette InstaLift® results last?
Results should last somewhere between 18 months and two years; results vary by individual.
What is the difference between Silhouette InstaLift® and other threading lifts?
Silhouette InstaLift®’s unique sutures set them apart from other threading lifts. The sutures are bidirectional cones that provide greater lift and hold, and they’re made from a biocompatible material that is designed to better stimulate collagen growth. In fact, one of the sutures’ main components is the active ingredient in Sculptra®, another facial rejuvenator and collagen stimulator.
Can I get Silhouette InstaLift® the day before a big event?
There is potential for some downtime. While not everyone will bruise, there is always that risk when injecting and suturing.
Does the Silhouette InstaLift® procedure hurt?
With the anesthetic provided, patients describe application as a pinch with pressure. While discomfort will vary by treatment area, most patients tolerate it well and without issue.
How does Silhouette InstaLift® lift and improve volume?
Silhouette InstaLift® sutures are made from Polyglycolide/L-lactide (PLGA), a much-used biomedical copolymer that is generally well-tolerated in the body. Once implanted, the sutures provide mechanical fixation of skin and tissues until collagen production sets the lift biologically. This restores volume and shapeliness in a gradual, natural way.
Does it really matter who does my Silhouette InstaLift®?
Silhouette InstaLift® is a technique-driven procedure, depending on planning and application. It is highly advised that you go to a skilled professional for the procedure. There are certain techniques used to achieve greatest effect, so you should work with a team who knows that they’re doing.
Can I get Silhouette InstaLift® done the same day as other injectable procedures?
Yes, you can receive Silhouette InstaLift® the same day you receive injectable treatments like BOTOX®, Dysport®, or Restylane®. However, we prefer to complete lifts and injectables after laser treatments.
How Much Does Silhouette InstaLift® Cost?
