Ladies ladies ladies… this one’s for you. The world of women’s health and wellness has been overlooked for some time, but thanks to Viveve we now have geneveve/#">Geneveve. On today’s blog we’re going to break down what you need to know about the newest procedure at WDC, Geneveve, and how it may be able to benefit you!
Let’s get down to the basics….with things like childbirth, genetic disposition, and aging our bodies go through a number of changes over time. One of these changes may be the decrease of collagen fibers in the vaginal wall causing things like dryness, vaginal laxity, and stress urinary incontinence. Geneveve is a one-time treatment to help rebuild collagen within the vaginal wall helping with all of these things.
How does it work? The Geneveve treatment uses clinically-proven cryogen-cooled monopolar radiofrequency (CMRF) to uniformly deliver gentle volumetric heating while cooling delicate surface tissue. This unique technology stimulates the body’s natural collagen formation process. Because Geneveve uses tiny pulses of gentle energy, the right amount of heat – for the right amount of time – is delivered to reinvigorate tissue.
What makes it different than other vaginal rejuvenation procedure out there? Unlike other rejuvenation procedures the Geneveve treatment is a one-time treatment. Most other vaginal rejuvenation treatments require at least 3 treatments.
Does the procedure hurt? Because of the ability to cool while transmitting the radio frequency, the procedure is very comfortable for patients and doesn’t require any form of anesthetic.
Is there downtime? There is no downtime with the Geneveve treatment, although we do recommend 48hrs of no sexual activity or insertion of tampons or other products in the area.
Results from this treatment are both immediate and progressive. You should notice an increase in nerve sensitivity and strong muscle contractions, along with increased lubrication and reduction of urinary leakage.
