Dr. George completed her internship in Internal Medicine and her Dermatology Residency at Penn State University (Hershey Medical Center), where she served as chief resident. She received her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, where she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Virginia Tech with a major in Biochemistry.
Prior to starting her private practice “Wilmington Dermatology Center” in 2008, she completed a laser focused preceptorship with one of the nation’s leading laser treatment pioneers, Dr. Tina Alster, at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery. Dr. George continues to attend and present at many state and national conferences, where the most current advances in dermatology are discussed. In 2013 Dr. George became a luminary for Solta Medical, the maker of such devices as the Fraxel Dual and Liposonix, where she presents on various treatment technologies. In addition to being selected as an Allergan trainer for Botox and Juvederm, she was also selected from an elite group of physicians nationwide to participate on the Facial Aesthetics Board by Allergan for the Voluma launch. Dr. George also actively participates as a chief investigator for dermatology focused clinical research studies to keep abreast of the latest treatments and has contributed to several scientific publications.

Dr. George in conjunction with WDC also enjoys participating in philanthropic events and is a contributor to numerous charities in Wilmington. In recent years she has been the primary sponsor for the Wine Women and Shoes Event in Wilmington which benefits Make-a-Wish of Eastern North Carolina.
