Tattoo Removal

Sometimes your permanent body artwork needs to be… less permanent.  Our go-to tattoo removal cosmetic procedure uses a laser treatment to make changes to your prior ink. Whether you are making room for new art or looking to erase a previous tattoo decision, laser treatments can be used to effectively remove the pigmentation in your skin. Different laser types emit specific wavelengths which allow the treatment of various tattoo colors. Tattoo treatments require approximately 10 -12 individual treatments with subtle improvements after each visit. Contact our experienced staff to setup a free consultation.

How Laser Tattoo Removal works

Our MedLite C6 lives up to its reputation as the “workhorse” of aesthetic lasers, with unmatched Precision Beam Technology. It provides a true flat-top beam profile, producing consistent results with fewer complications for reliable treatments time after time. MedLite’s homogenous beam delivers energy evenly over the skin’s surface, minimizing epidermal injury and increasing patient satisfaction. When the laser goes into the skin, it causes the tattoo ink to break into pieces. Your body gets rid of these naturally. All ink colors can be removed, although green and yellow are more difficult to remove. Treating everything from Tattoo’s to dark pigmentation, this laser is more cost effective, with lasting results compared to other tattoo removal lasers on the market.

Laser Tattoo Removal Treatment Results

All Tattoo removal treatments typically consist of a series of anywhere from 10-12 sessions, scheduled 4-8 weeks apart until the desired removal outcome is met. The number of treatments will depend on the kind and color of ink used, as well as the amount of coverage. Your provider can determine how long to wait between appointments based on progress made and your skin type.

What Should I Expect During My Laser Tattoo Removal Procedure?

A local anesthesia, or intractable numbing may be used to minimize discomfort during the procedure, but a plan can be discussed with your provider for pain management beforehand. During the treatment patients may experience minimal discomfort lasting the duration of the treatment, which is dependent on treatment area and size.

After your Laser Tattoo Removal Procedure

Treated areas may swell somewhat and turn red but usually only for a few hours afterwards.  Between treatments, be sure to keep the area out of the sun and covered.  Your provider will give you additional tips for care during your appointment.
