Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating is a medical condition caused by hyperactive sweat glands. Severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis is often misdiagnosed or goes untreated. Botox®, Prescription strength antiperspirants, and oral medications may be used for treatment. Botox® treatments have been FDA approved to minimize hyperhidrosis. Botox® works by blocking chemical signals from nerves that stimulate sweat production and is commonly used on patients' hands, palms and armpits.
