How does it work?
The laser wavelength targets the darker pigment in our skin, specifically the melanin in our hair folicles. This is why laser hair removal is more effective on lighter skin patients with darker hair. After 5-6 treatments patients can see a permanent reduction in over 90% of the area treated.

What is the procedure like?
Depending on the area treated, one of two handpeices are used to deliver the laser energy. For large areas, the large handpiece is used and provides the fastest most comfortable treatment available on the market. The larger handpiece, used for example on backs and legs, actually has a vacuum-assist technology that brings the hair folicles closer to the laser for greater energy absorption and improved results. For smaller, harder to reach areas such as around the face, near the bikini line, the smaller handpiece is used. This handpeice uses a chilled-tip to minimize pain caused during the treatment.
The lightsheer duet significantly reduces the overall treatment time for larger areas using the larger handpiece. Backs that used to take an hour per treatment session, now only take 15-20min.
How many treatments will I need?
Patients typically require 5-6 treatments to achieve maximum hair removal results. Each treatment is typically spaced 4 weeks apart. Treatment packages are offered which can offset the total cost.
Am I a good candidate?
